Tasha Gibson came to Lawrence Central to talk with my students about the Félix González-Torres project. The discussion of the work of art featuring the hand served as a springboard into many other art-social issue discussions. The art unit we are presently studying in Spanish Four will be greatly enhanced by the insight garnered through these discussions.
